Traditionally, at a wedding the guests are supposed to wear their best and most fashionable clothes. The men will wear their best suits while the women will catch the attention with their elegant day or evening dresses. If for women the style of the wedding can put them in difficulty, for men things are easier. In essence, a men’s wedding outfit is always the same, no matter the wedding’s style. Here are three interesting men looks that you should consider using at an upcoming wedding.

I will start by mentioning the linen look which is suitable for a summer event. The linen suit is elegant, light and very comfortable to wear which makes it the first option for a wedding. Available in light colors, this linen suit works perfectly with lighter colored shirts and brown or tan loafers. For instance, the Jeff Banks pick and pick suit is my first suggestion. Available in numerous sizes and colors, this suit will definitely make you look stylish. It is made of a combination between wool and polyester and catches your attention with a contemporary design which combines modern and classic elements. For this elegant suit you will have to pay £124. To complete your look you should also consider wearing a floral pattern shirt which will offer more style and dimension to your linen look. You should also consider buying a pair of loafers or slip-ons, which are most suitable for this linen look, and a pair of sunglasses which is definitely an important accessory for a summer wedding.

The second look is also the smartest because it’s based on the classic wedding-guest look enriched by a few contemporary touches. It’s actually a very popular style among men who attend a wedding. For this look you can use colors like light grey, navy and dark gray. The Redhering gray stripe one button suit jacket is my first recommendation. Made of polyester and viscose, this elegant suit impresses with a fashionable design and beautiful details including left and right straight pockets, one button cuff and side vents. Available in various sizes and colors, this suit costs £95. In order to complete your look, you should also buy a shirt and a tie, black leather shoos and stylish cufflinks.

The last look is the casual one and involves wearing a smart blazer with stylish chinos along with a catchy shirt and cool brogues. This look is cool and casual and has become pretty popular among wedding male guests. It’s usable as long as the wedding you’re attending is an informal event.

The wedding of Kate and Prince William was an important event for the UK as well as also for the entire world. Even if Kate Middleton was definitely the star of the event impressing everyone with her Alexander McQueen gown and Cartier tiara, the guests didn’t disappoint the audience either by wearing stylish outfits and amazing accessories. One of the wedding guest accessories that definitely caught the attention was the traditional hat chosen by many of the women present. Check out only a few of the most stylish and fashionable hat creations that made it to the Royal wedding.

I will start by mentioning Queen Elizabeth’s simple, but elegant hat signed by Angela Kelly. The beautiful hat was made of quality yellow crepe decorated with hand made silk roses and apricot leaves. It was perfect for the stylish outfit worn by the Queen at Prince William’s wedding.

Another outstanding hat which also impressed the audience was that wore by Victoria Beckham. The stylish hat was designed by Philip Treacy and stood out from the crowd with its small pillbox design. The left side of the small pillbox hat was decorated with blue crystal spikes. Finished with only one hour before the wedding, this hat nicely complemented Victoria’s navy boatneck dress part of her 2011 Fall Collection and accessorized with Christian Louboutin heels.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, the British socialite was another stunning presence at the royal wedding who decided to wear an electric blue dress singed by Deborah Milner, a well known British fashion designer. The dress was accessorized with matching long gloves, a blue clutch and a pair of blue high heels. However, the main attraction remained the electric blue pillbox hat signed by Stephen Jones. The pillbox hat featured a gorgeous blue rose in the middle.

You should also know that Zara Phillips was another royal wedding guest who caught the attention with her fashionable hat. The granddaughter of the Queen wore a stylish periwinkle dress designed by Paul Costello. To complete her appearance, Zara chose a beautiful intricate black hat signed by Phillip Treacy. From the right side the hat looked like any regular hat placed at a jaunty angle, but when you looked at it from the front you noticed the beautiful flourish detail.

Princess Anne looked amazing at Prince William’s wedding because she wore a stylish purple dress covered by a gorgeous purple flowery coat. She also wore a netted purple headpiece which perfectly completed her wedding outfit. The mother of the bride, Carole Middleton, impressed with a traditional blue topper signed by Jane Corbett that matched her beautiful dress.

If you’ve been invited for the first time to a Hindu, Sikh or Muslim traditional ceremony you should do a little research to make sure you know enough about this kind of event. That’s because Indian weddings are based on plenty of customs and traditions which might be confusing for a first time Indian guest. However, if you keep in mind a few simple things you will definitely enjoy any traditional Hindu wedding without worrying about making mistakes. As a non-Indian wedding guest you aren’t forced to wear a sari or Indian attire, but if you decide to wear one your gesture will definitely be appreciated by everyone invited at the event. If you are looking for a gorgeous sari (saree) you should consider visiting the cbazaar website which offers a gorgeous collection of saris designed for various occasions and impressing with outstanding colors and designs. For instance, you should consider the Pastel Peach sari which is available for $329. This elegant sari is made of pure silk and catches your attention with beautiful pastel peach shades and decorative motifs and embellishments.

Indian Wedding Dress For Guest

If you decide to wear Western clothes you need to make sure the dress or outfit you choose for the wedding doesn’t have bare shoulders, deep necklines or short skirts. That’s because during the wedding ceremony you might have to sit cross-legged on the floor and a short or tight outfit will prove improper for this action. You also need to keep in mind that you should choose bright colors because Indian weddings are festive events, all about joy and happiness. You should definitely avoid wearing white or black clothes because in the Indian culture white is suitable for funerals while black is used for mourning. To complete your outfit for an Indian wedding you will also have to choose jewels and shoes. When it comes to shoes you should opt for comfortable and easy-to-remove options. That’s because in order to participate to an Indian wedding ceremony you might have to take off the shoes when you enter the temple or the sanctified area. I also need to mention that if you’ve been invited to a Sikh wedding, you might need to cover your head when you enter the temple. So, you should have on you a pashmina stole or a long scarf if you’re not wearing a sari that comes with a dupatta.

You should also know that the wedding invitation might contain information about the wedding gift required. If the invitation doesn’t mention anything about a wedding gift you should consider offering the newly married couple a monetary gift.

In 2010, Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of the former US president Bill Clinton married her fiancé, Marc Mezvinsky. The event was a media obsession for weeks and everyone was excited to see the bride’s and groom’s outfits, as well as their wedding guests.

The wedding took place on July, 31st in Rhinebeck, New York at the Astor Courts estate which is a private Beaux-Arts mansion located on 50 wooded acres near the Hudson River. The entire wedding décor was outstanding reminding of a fairytale while the couple chose to stand under an arch of twigs, vines and flowers. In addition, the ceremony was conducted by a Jewish chaplain, James Ponet (that’s because the groom is Jewish) and by Reverend William Shillady of the Park Avenue Methodist Church from New York (the bride is Methodist). The bride wore a Vera Wang bridal gown with a strapless neckline and a rich ball gown-style skirt made of organza and tulle while the groom chose an elegant wool-mohair tuxedo designed by Burberry.

After the wedding ceremony, the guests were invited to the reception which was hold inside a windowed tent. The tent had the ceiling and walls draped in fabric and was decorated with poles enriched by gorgeous floral arrangements made of roses and hydrangeas. In addition, the tables were wrapped into gray-blue cloths and hosted famous wedding guests. These guests had the opportunity to enjoy a rich menu which included grass-fed beef, grilled Atlantic char, salad, risotto and dinner rolls provided by the St Regis Hotel from New York.

At this event were invited around 500 guests including well known names from politics and entertainment. So, the wedding guest list of Chelsea Clinton included celebrities like the acting couple Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, Warren Buffett, the former Secretary of State Madeleine Allbright and Terry McAuliffe, the former Democratic national committee chairman. Besides these famous names, the wedding guest list also included some of Hillary Clinton’s people including Melanne Verveer, Capricia Marshall, Maggie Williams and Kelly Craighead. Only a few big donors, known for their affinity for the Clinton family attended the special event. The most notorious names were Steve Bing and Alan Patricof. I also need to mention that the official wedding guest list also included President Obama, filmmaker Steven Spielberg along with his wife Kate Capshaw, Oprah Winfrey, the former British Prime Minister John Major and historian Doris Kearns Goodwin. Unfortunately, some of these big names weren’t present at the wedding.

All the guests had the opportunity to enjoy ‘80s and current Top-40 songs suitable for a wedding.

A royal wedding is definitely an important event not only for the Royal family, but also for the wedding guests. Kate and William’s wedding was an important event in 2011 and caught the attention of everyone around the world. Millions of people admired the beautiful wedding dress of Kate Middleton and the wedding attire of Prince William, but they were also impressed by the outfits of the famous wedding guests who were invited at this special event. It’s known that a royal wedding requires specific attire, so the guests invited to Kate and William’s wedding chose their best outfits for this special day. Here are only a few of the guests who really impressed with their beautiful designer dresses, gorgeous hats and impeccable suits.

One of the first guests to arrive at Westminster Abbey, where the wedding ceremony took place, was the bride’s sister, Pippa Middleton who was chief maid of honor and really impressed everyone. Pippa wore a beautiful white dress which nicely flowed on the floor revealing her slender figure and feminine forms. Designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen (the same designer who created the beautiful wedding dress of Kate Middleton), Pippa’s dress caught the attention with a subtle draping cleavage, a simple back with silk covered buttons and short sleeves.

Princess Beatrice was another important wedding guest who managed to capture the attention with a beautiful Valentino couture dress. This elegant dress impressed with a lattice collar detail which gave a glamour touch to the outfit along with the bold bow-style headpiece designed by Phillip Treacy.

I should also mention David and Victoria Beckham who really looked stunning. The couple chose for this important event a classic style. Victoria wore a navy tunic dress with a boat neckline paired with a lovely Phillip Treacy hat and a pair of Christian Louboutin super high-heels.

Princess Victoria of Sweden impressed the audience with an elegant mid-length peach colored dress with a long sleeved matching jacket. Designed by Ellie Saab, this dress flattered her figure and skin tone. To complete her wedding outfit, Princess Victoria also wore suede platform shoes designed by the same designer and included in the SS2011 Collection.

The mother of the bride, Carole Middleton chose for the wedding a classy light blue dress designed by Catherine Walker. The dress was complemented by a large brimmed hat created by Jane Corbett and a pair of grey heels. The Queen wore at the wedding ceremony a design of Angela Kelly which was a crepe wool primrose dress paired with a matching wool coat and a stylish hat adorned with two silk roses and apricot leaves.

When it comes to planning a wedding, the bride needs to take quite a few decisions. One of the most important and stressful ones involves deciding who will be invited at the wedding. In order to help you take the right decision without exceeding your budget and upsetting someone important I’ve gathered a few tips that you should keep in mind when writing down your wedding guest list.

First of all, you need to decide your budget and the style and the size of your wedding before even thinking about your guest list. According to etiquette expert, Louise Fox, this will help you determine other important things regarding your wedding like the type of venue you can afford and the food and drinks you can afford to buy while staying within your budget’s limits. By having this information about your budget you will also be able to determine how many guests you can invite to your wedding.

How To Write A Wedding Guest List

The next step is to start writing down guest names. You should first list the names of the parents involved and then continue by writing the names of your siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. In essence, you should make sure you invite all your close relatives and then, only after you take a look at your budget, decide to invite more distant relatives. You should also make sure you invite your closest friends as well as your fiancé’s closest friends who want to share this moment with both of you.

When it comes to work colleagues, according to the same expert, you should consider inviting only the colleagues with whom you’ve socialized outside work. If you think that decision will hurt feelings, you should be objective and invite only the co-workers from your department. It isn’t mandatory to invite the boss, so feel free to make any decision.

Your parents might tell you to invite additional guests, but you should stick to your own guest list and provide them logical reasons why you can’t invite anyone else. Mention your limited budget or the limited space available at the wedding venue. When it comes to your future in-laws, things might be trickier, but you need to stick together and make it very clear that you had to make many compromises in order to come up with a budget-friendly guest list. According to the same etiquette expert, you should involve your families in planning the wedding but you should always be the ones having the last word because after all it’s your wedding day and not theirs.

When planning a wedding you need to take care of a wide variety of details and take many decisions, so that the result can be perfect. One of the most important aspects that need to be solved in the beginning targets the wedding invitations. You need to make sure you order them along with proper response cards with around four months before the wedding date. In addition, if you’re printing them by yourself you will also have to find a quality printer, so you should start shopping for the necessary things even before ordering the invitations or at least in the same time. That’s because finding the right printer can take more than you think.

When To Send Wedding Invitations For Out Of Town Guests

When To Send Wedding Invitations For Out Of Town Guests (Photo by: Bjørn Bulthuis)

You should also know that most of the wedding invitations should be sent to your guests with six to eight weeks before your wedding. That’s because the guests need to have enough time to send back the response cards while you need to be able to provide the final guest list to your caterer and print the final seating charts. If you are inviting to your wedding guests from out of town you should consider mailing the invitations up to 12 weeks before the wedding. That’s because out of town mail can take even a week or two to reach its destination, especially if your wedding guests live overseas. In addition, you should also consider the fact that out of town guests might need to make travel arrangements and even take a few days off from work in order to attend your wedding. So, it’s better if you send their wedding invitations quite early. Your gesture will give them time to solve the unavoidable problems. It’s best if for out of town guests you send the “Save the Date” card at least 8 months before your special event. The couples who are planning a destination wedding should even send the invitations at least eight weeks before the scheduled event. I personally think that it’s even better if you send the “save the date” cards up to 12 months before your wedding.

Regarding the sending etiquette, you should know that the proper way to invite someone to your wedding is by mailing a wedding invitation. It isn’t allowed to send the invitation by email, fax or phone. If some of the wedding guests live in the same town you should even consider delivering the wedding invitations by hand, but make sure this is your last option. If you keep in mind these tips you will definitely not have any problem in inviting all your friends and family on time, no matter where they live.

When it comes to weddings not only the bride and the groom need to make sure they find the right outfits. The same rule applies to wedding guests. So, if you’ve been invited to a wedding you need to decide what you will wear to the special event. One of the themed weddings that might give you some headaches is the beach wedding. That’s because at this kind of wedding you need to wear something casual, but in the same time not too informal. After all, even if the event is scheduled to take place on a beach, it’s still a wedding.

To make sure you don’t make any mistake when choosing your beach wedding outfit you should keep in mind the hour of the wedding (daytime or in the evening) and find out if the invitation suggests wearing formal or casual outfits. If this information is not available in the wedding invitation you should ask for additional details from the bride or groom. Here are only a few tips that you should keep in mind when choosing your beach wedding outfit.

Beach Wedding Attire For Guest

If you are a man and the invitation specifies that the wedding follows a Hawaiian theme or another type of beach attire you have the possibility to choose as wedding outfit khaki pants, an unbuttoned Hula skirt, flip flops and a hat. In addition, if the wedding takes place during the day you can choose to wear light colored pants and a cotton shirt, a combination perfect for a hot summer day. Another suitable option for a daytime beach wedding involves wearing casual pants along with a golf shirt and a light jacket. Light colors always work for beach weddings.

When it comes to women invited to daytime beach weddings, you should know that they can wear off the shoulder or sleeveless dresses which are knee long and are made of soft light colored materials. Women should only avoid wearing at a beach wedding flowing skirts because such skirts will get them in trouble if the wind blows. What you should consider is dresses adorned with floral prints and paired with wide-brimmed hats which will protect your face from the sun and comfortable footwear. Another outfit suitable for a beach wedding that any woman can wear, especially if the wedding takes place in the evening, involves buying a stylish cocktail dress. What you shouldn’t do is add too many accessories to the resulting look.

Overall, as long as you choose something comfortable and suitable for a beach wedding you will definitely impress the audience.

The guest list is as important as the venue where the wedding will take place because I’m sure you want to spend your special day surrounded only by the people that actually care about you and your life. So, if you want to avoid embarrassing moments, you should carefully create this guest list by taking into account as many factors as possible.

Before even starting to write down names on a piece of paper, you should establish a few details regarding the type of wedding that you are going to organize. This is important because you need to determine how many people you are going to invite. However, you shouldn’t choose to have a small or large-scale wedding based solely on your personal wishes. You should also take into account the budget involved in order to see if your wishes can be financially supported. As you know, most wedding vendors charge per person, so if you already know what types of services you are interested in, you will be able to estimate with good accuracy a cost based on the number of persons involved. After you decide upon the maximum number of guests that you will be inviting, you should make sure that the date you have chosen for your wedding is compatible with the schedule of the persons that you desperately want to be at your wedding. You should also make sure that the venue chosen can accommodate the number of persons of interest.

Making A Wedding Guest List (Source: weddingtimes.com)

After taking care of these important details, you should advance to creating the actual wedding guest list. To be as productive as possible you should get your future husband by your side as well as a few close friends and family members and start creating the A-list which should include the most important guests as well as people who should be at your wedding and some individuals that are known for lifting the spirit of any party. You should also consider creating a do-not-invite list so that you can easily make sure no one will make the mistake of inviting a character that can be uncomfortable for important guests or for you and your groom. You should also try to offer half of the invitations to the groom’s family and the other half to the bride’s family. This is a simply way to avoid disputes. What’s left to do is create the B-list which is a refined version of the A-list, so it should focus on the maximum number of guests that can be invited and on their relationship with you and your groom.

11

Is there a limit regarding the number of people that can be invited to a wedding? Yes, there is a limit, but this number of people is not 100 or 200 or 300; this number is limited by the acquaintances, friends, work colleagues and relatives of yours and of your partner’s.

As a rule, 25% of the people invited to a wedding are friends and acquaintances of the bride, 25% are connected to the groom, 25% are people invited by the parents of the bride and the rest of them are invited by the parents of the groom.

Average Number Of Guests+wedding (Source: images.marthastewart.com)

Average Number Of Guests+wedding (Source: images.marthastewart.com)

To make sure that you will not cross the maximum limit of wedding guests that can come to your wedding, you should count them and see who has more friends or relatives invited to the wedding. You have to make a wedding guest list, not only to know for sure how many people will come to your wedding (and who is related to the bride or to the groom, who comes invited by the parents of the bride and so on), but also to give the manager of the restaurant an idea about how many people you will have at your wedding.

In most cases, 75% of those invited to a wedding show up to the actual wedding. So if you don't want to celebrate your wedding with just a few few people, you should invite also people, whose presence is not mandatory, but people that you would love to have at your reception party. In this category, you can include your neighbors and acquaintances that you rarely meet, but which are dear to your heart. If they will refuse your invitation, you will not feel so disappointed, and if they will accept it, you will have more people to party with.

If your wedding invitations will be sent only to your dearest people, only 75% of them will come, so consider to fill the other 25% with neighbors and acquaintances.
